Videoconference Project: History of Texas


This project was created as an assignment in Planning Interactive Curriculum Connections, an online class offered by Berrien RESA and taught by Janine Lim.

Topic: 7th grade Middle school students in Texas are invited to join with fellow students across the state to share about their particular region of Texas.

Through a 45 minute videoconference students will present the history of Texas for their particular area. Students are to research the specific area they live in and then present about the history in their area. The program can include artifacts from museums, multimedia presentations, art, acting, guest speakers, or any form desired. Time must be allotted for a questions and answers from the participants.

Time Frame:
1-5 days - research of Texas history in your area
1 day - preparation of presentation
1 day - practice
number of presentations will be limited to 3 a day for 1 week.

Who may participate-
7th grade Texas History students. On a first come, first serve basis.
