This project was created as an assignment in Planning Interactive Curriculum Connections, an online class offered by Berrien RESA and taught by Janine Lim.
Description: Seventh grade students write original poetry and share it with other seventh grade students via Video Conferencing. This video conference is designed for seventh grade writing classes or Language Arts classes. Students will read their original poetry to participating seventh graders from anywhere in the world. Students may dress in costume to emphasize their poem or include drawings, photographs of music that enhances their poem. Video conference will last 45 minutes.
Time frame: One week for writing poetry
Appropriate amount of time to acquaint the teacher with the technology (never used it before)
Appropriate amount of time to review video etiquette with students
Video camera or VCR in classroom to get used to being in front of a camera before conference
