Tuning the Percussion Section

Description Session will provide students with hands on experience tuning the percussion instruments commonly found in the school band program.

Session Dates

September 11th, 9:30 - 10:30 (Marching Percussion only)

September 18th, 9:30 - 10:30 (Marching Percussion only)

November 13th, 9:30 - 10:30 (Concert Percussion only)

November 20th, 9:30 - 10:30 (Concert Percussion only)

Connections

We support IP and ISDN connections. This program is offered a single Junior High or High School percussion class not larger than 12 members. Session can be modified to fit the needs of your program.

Preparation Materials for Marching Percussion Sessions

Marching Snare, Marching Toms (Tenor Drums), Marching Tonal Bass Drums, Drum Key, Digital Tuner or Pitch Reference, Bass Drum Tuning Foam, Fine Grit Sand Paper, Petroleum Jelly and paper towels.

Preparation Materials for Concert Percussion Sessions

Concert Snare, Concert Bass Drum, Concert Toms, Congas, Timpani, Digital Tuner or Pitch Reference, Fine Grit Sand Paper, Petroleum Jelly and paper towels.
