Videoconference
Programs
A videoconference program
gives you and your students an opportunity to connect to people
and places you might not be able to otherwise, such as zoos,
museums, NASA, the U.S. Congress and more. Video conferences
use an ISDN or IP connection, a camera, codec, and TV to connect
to another site.

Participating in a
VC Program
After you've chosen a program,
then schedule your program. If it's free or your district
is paying all the cost, then Schedule
Your Program. Otherwise apply for a Mini-Grant
to receive funding for half the cost of the program. The district
should pay the other half.
Then, prepare your students using
the preparation materials and these Tips
for an Effective Videoconference.
This lesson plan for Preparing
Questions for a Videoconference may also be helpful.
After the program, please fill
out an Evaluation form so others know if the program is worth
doing.
