The Benton Harbor Area Schools has the following administrative positions available immediately:

Assistant Superintendent for Instruction

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Minimum of Master's Degree in curriculum, school administration or educational leadership.

  • A Valid Michigan teaching certificate.

  • Minimum of five years of successful teaching experience and educational administration.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well with staff, parents and the community.

  • Awareness of curriculum for elementary and secondary education and special grant programs.

  • Proven ability to meet the challenges of an urban/rural, multi-racial, multi-ethnic school district.

  • Demonstrated above average past performance evaluations.

  • Other qualifications of alternatives as the Board of Education may deem appropriate.


The Benton Harbor Area Schools has the following teacher positions available immediately:

Mathematics - Benton Harbor High School
Music - Elementary and Secondary Teachers
Special Education Teacher (EI/EMI/LD) - Elementary
Special Education Teacher (EI/EMI/LD) - Middle School
Special Education Teacher (EI/EMI/LD) - High School

QUALIFICATIONS: Valid appropriate Michigan teaching certificate.
