Department Information

The staff of the Instructional Technology Department provides training and support at Berrien RESA or on-site. Video conferening can be coordinated among schools or with other agencies. The Department has also participated in major technology initiatives including Learning with Handhelds, Freedom to Learn and the SouthwestNet Distance Learning Collaborative.

The Instructional Technology Department and REMC XI provides a wide range of services to support schools including the following:

Professional development in technology integration

Materials to support the classroom

Email and Internet services

Video conferencing

An extensive video tape collection and other materials

The services of the Regional Educational Media Center

Providing substantial savings of supplies purchased through the REMC store (in cooperation with State bid program)
